Getting to Valencia is Easy!

With so many cheap flights to Valencia from airlines such as Easy Jet and Ryan Air, you can always find a bargain, especially if you book a couple of months in advanc.

Direct flights in Europe include those from British Airways, Iberia – the national airline of Spain, Lufthansa and Air France.

With international flights to Valencia,  you may have to fly to Madrid or Barcelona , then take a connecting internal flight to Valencia,  or take the train.

To be in with a chance of one of the bargain flights, you may have to book early.

If you’re coming from London,  the easiest way to reach London airports is with the Heathrow, Stansted or Gatwick Express, depending on which airport you leave from.

Trains normally leave every fifteen minutes,  so it’s advisable to allow extra time to buy train tickets or collect them.

Train Travel in Spain to Valencia

train travel in spainA great alternative to flying,  is to take the train from London to Valencia.

Take the Eurostar from St Pancras in London to Paris  (2 hours and fifteen minutes).

To travel from London by train in 10 – 11 hours,  just book Eurostar tickets from St Pancras in London.  The  train takes  2 hours 15 minutes to reach the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, then take the train to Barcelona.  From here you  take the fast (or slow) train to Valencia.

You can also take the Bus Aeropeurto (airport bus) to the city of Valencia. There are other buses going to Gandia and the surrounding areas.  RENFE trains run from Estacion del Norte in the center of town.

The Port of Valencia is the largest commercial port in Spain, with ferries and cruise ships travelling to the nearby Balearic Islands of Ibiza and  Menorca, Italy, Tenerife and Morroco.
