Valencia is the birth-place of paella and only 12kms from the centre of Valencia is the beautiful nature reserve and freshwater lagoon of l'Albuferawhich is separated from the sea by a thin strip of land.

The area is full of pine forests and sand dunes and this is also where the glorious Valencia rice is grown and where you can taste authentic Valencian food.
