The Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) is one of Spain's most famous Art Galleries.

It's situated in the trendy and fashionable area of Barrio del Carmen in the Old Quarter of Valencia.

This beautiful museum is located very close to the Turia Gardens and the Jardines del Real.

It's easily reached from the historic quarter via the bridge at Pont de Fusta. The museum contains works by Velazquez, Van Dyck, Goya and El Greco.

Just past puente San Jose (San Jose bridge), is the lovely 19th century villa and garden of Valencian artist Jose Benlliure (1855-1937).



Convent of Carmen
The Gothic Convent of Carmen is now the 'Center of Carmen' and is linked to the Bellas Artes Museum de Valencia.
