Valencia Beaches

There are 2.8 km of stunning white sandy Valencia beaches. All have excellent facilities and services and there are many lovely Valencia hotels by the beach and port. The area has vast orange groves, vineyards and golf courses which hug the coastline of this very beautiful and fertile area of Spain.

Valencia beaches are easily reached from Valencia airport.
The city is only 8km from the airport and it's only a short 10 - 15 minutes drive into town and another 5 - 10 minutes to the beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarossa.
Valencia Beaches - City of Valencia BeachLas Arenas and La Malvarrosa beaches blend into each other and form the city beach of Valencia. Both can be reached from the center of town by bus in 15-20 minutes or by tram from Pont de Fusta (opposite Torres de Serranos in Barrio del Carmen) in about 10 minutes.
In the early 20th century Playa de las Arenas was famous for the beautiful health resort which is no longer in use. Now there is a new luxury 5 star Balneario de las Arenas Hotel and the very popular 4 star Hotel Neptuno which are located directly beside the beach next to the shops, bars and restaurants on the promenade of Las Arenas.
Further to the north of Valencia is Playa del Alboraya which is where the famous local milky horchata drink comes from. It's made from tiger nuts (chuffas) and ice cold milk - delicious!
El Saler & Pinedo BeachesTo the south of Valencia you'll find the beautiful blue flag beaches of Pinedo and El Saler which are close to the fresh water lagoon and national park of la Albufera.
The five star Hotel Sidi Saler is located directly on the beach. All rooms have a sea view and there's a shuttle service into town and if you're interested in golf, this is where the famous golf-courses and the rice fields are. You can always take the Valencia tourist bus to l'Albufera from Plaza de la Reina which is in the Old Quarter of Valencia. Or you can hire a car and drive the 12km to the Albufera and take your time to explore the lovely beaches of the area.
When it's very hot the Valencia beaches in the city can become very busy so just head for beaches to the south such as Pinedo and El Saler. Just a short drive to the north from the city of Valencia are the beautiful beaches of Puig, Canet and Puebla de Farnals.
Perfect for ChildrenThe beaches are perfect for children and also ideal for you to sunbathe on. If it gets too hot, take a dip in the sea or relax under one of the many parasol type sun-shades. Ice-cream is sold on the beaches during the hot summer months and there are also small fun-fairs on the promenade for the children to enjoy.
Valencia Restaurants on Paseo Marítimo The promenade runs alongside Las Arenas and is known as the Paseo Marítimo. Here you can walk, jog or ride a bike on specially provided lanes. Sought after restaurants and bars, some with hotels above line the promenade.
These hotels and restaurants are very well established and the restaurants offer mouth watering dishes which Hemmingway, Orson Wells and many others have enjoyed!

It's also the perfect location if you just want to sit and relax and take in the sun.
Order a drink at one of the many bars and enjoy the views of the beach and the sparkling Mediterranean sea.
Valencia Beach BusTo reach the nearby beaches of Pinedo and El Saler you can take the special yellow beach bus from the center of town. The fare is 1.20€ and the bus starts from Calle Alicante near Estacion del Norte and the Bullring. Ask at one of the Tourist Information offices for a bus route and timetable - (journey takes approximately 25-30mins).
