Valencia Beaches!

Come and enjoy the beautiful Valencia Beaches...

Valencia Palms

There are 2.8 km of stunning white sandy beaches in Valencia. All have excellent facilities and services and there are many lovely Valencia hotels by the beach and port. The area has vast orange groves, vineyards and golf courses which hug the coastline of this very beautiful and fertile area of Spain.

Las Arenas ValenciaValencia beaches are easily reached from the airport.

The city is only 8km from the airport and it's only a short 10 - 15 minutes drive into town and another 5 - 10 minutes to the beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarossa.

The two main Valencia beaches near the city are Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa. Both can be reached from the center of town by bus in 15-20 minutes or by tram from Pont de Fusta (opposite Torres de Serranos in Barrio del Carmen) in about 10 minutes.

Hotel Las Arenas Balneario ResortIn the early 20th century Playa de las Arenas was famous for the beautiful health resort which is no longer in use. Now there is a new luxury 5 star Balneario de las Arenas Hotel and the very popular 4 star Hotel Neptuno which are located directly beside the beach next to the shops, bars and restaurants on the promenade of Las Arenas.

Further to the north of Valencia is Playa del Alboraya which is where the famous local milky horchata drink comes from. It's made from tiger nuts (chuffas) and ice cold milk - delicious! To the south of Valencia you'll find the beautiful blue flag beaches of Pinedo and El Saler which are close to the fresh water lagoon and national park of la Albufera.

sidi saler valenciaThe five star Hotel Sidi Saler is located directly on the beach. All rooms have a sea view and there's a shuttle service into town and if you're interested in golf, this is where the famous golf-courses and the rice fields are.

You can always take the Valencia tourist bus to l'Albufera from Plaza de la Reina which is in the Old Quarter of Valencia. Or you can hire a car and drive the 12km to the Albufera and take your time to explore the lovely beaches of the area.

When it's very hot the Valencia beaches in the city can become very busy so just head for beaches to the south such as Pinedo and El Saler. Just a short drive to the north from the city of Valencia are the beautiful beaches of Puig, Canet and Puebla de Farnals.

The promenade runs alongside Las Arenas and is known as the Paseo Marítimo. Here you can walk, jog or ride a bike on specially provided lanes.

Perfect for Children
The beaches are perfect for children and also ideal for you to sunbathe on. If it gets too hot, take a dip in the sea or relax under one of the many parasol type sun-shades.

Ice-cream is sold on the beaches during the hot summer months and there are also small fun-fairs on the promenade for the children to enjoy.

valencia restaurants by the beachSought after restaurants and bars, some with hotels above line the promenade. These hotels and restaurants are very well established and the restaurants offer mouth watering dishes which Hemmingway, Orson Wells and many others have enjoyed!

Sin Dormir

It's also the perfect location if you just want to sit and relax and take in the sun. Order a drink at one of the many bars and enjoy the views of the beach and the sparkling Mediterranean sea.

VIP Tour of Valencia and its BeachesPrivate Full Day VIP Tour of Valencia and its Beaches
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the very best beaches of Valencia. From Valencia to Cullera, situated to the south of the capital and separated from the waters of the Mediterranean by a chain of dunes and pine groves, the lake of La Albufera was formed by the deposit of sediments from the Rivers Turia an Jucar, which hemmed in this small inland sea of fresh water... more
