Valencia fc
Valencia Football Club Valencia fc is one of the best teams in Spanish football winning a league and UEFA cup double in 2004/05.
The current national top scorer of the club, David Villa, joined the club in June 2005. His previous club was Real Zaragoza.
Villa renewed his contract with Valencia CF for the next seven seasons. In the recent World Cup match between Spain and France, Villa was the first to score for Spain but unfortunately for Spain, France won 3 - 1.
The team are doing well and are optimistic of catching up with their Catalan neighbour and rival FC Barcelona.
| Update! In May 2010 David Villa transferred to Barcelona FC for a four-year deal for a fee of €40 million (£34.2 million). In July this golden boy scored crucial goals for the World Cup in South Africa and Spain are now set to play in the semi final on Sunday 11 July against Holland. Spain beat the Netherlands 1–0 to win the World Cup and are now champions of the world. |
The home of Valencia fc is in the centre of Valencia at Mestalla Stadium. This is where all the action takes place. If you're coming from Estación del Norte you can either take a taxi or the number 10 bus from Plaza del Ayuntamiento to Avenida Aragón and the football stadium is directly opposite the bus stop.
