How to Choose Travel Insurance
Before you do anything decide if you want a single trip or multi trip insurance policy.
If you’re traveling a lot for business and leisure good policies cover you for travel abroad or in your own country.
However, many policies do have a maximum age but there are many who cater for the over 65s.
As well as covering your medical expenses make sure it will also cover you for things like being flown home if you’re ill, baggage, cancellations and things like being mugged and loss of money.
If there’s a cancellation or you lose your baggage make sure you’re covered. Many online hotel reservation companies and hotels make it a condition that you have a policy before booking with them.
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) only covers you for basic health care, so it’s advisable to be covered for everything.
