TOP Valencia Event
Valencia is overflowing with culture and life and has more than it’s share of festivals which include live concerts, music, sports, fashion shows and lots more.
As well as the local festivals there are many art galleries and museums to visit. The stunning City of Arts and Sciences can be found at the end of the Turia Gardens which are a short distance from Valencia city beach. The gardens stretch for 7km through the center of the city , they are the location of many festivals and events during the year and it’s also a great place to take a stroll, go jogging, ride a bike and playing sports.

Amongst the many events during the month of October is the National Day of the autonomous region of Valencia, and Sant Donis Day, patron saint of lovers . This two day event starts on 8 October and is celebrated in style with music, dancing and firework displays.

Mercat Central (Mercado Central) is the center of the event but there are 14 others participating in Torrefiel, Natzaret, el Grau, Cabanyal and Patraix. Stall owners serve their most original tapas at very reasonable prices. Entrance to the markets is free.

Top festivals at this time of year include La Tomatina which is held on the last Wednesday in August in Bunyol, a small town just outside Valencia.
The annual funfair and Ferris will be in the Turia Gardens alongside a host of other exciting events in Valencia.

During the summer months the city is full of open air events and festivals such as the July Fair . With many open air concerts in the Viveros Gardens and a program of events closer to the time. The Summer Festival of Films is held at the foot of Palau de la Musica with open-air screenings in the city and beaches of Valencia.

Valencia Events May 2017
On the 3 May is the “Crosses of May” and on the second Sunday in May it’s the festival of Our Lady of the Forsaken (Virgin of the Helpless), Patron Saint of the city of Valencia. The Valencia Book Fair is usually held during this month in the lovely Viveros Gardens.

Easter week in Valencia is followed with the festivals of San Vicente Ferrer, on the second Monday after Easter. In the Turia Gardens there are races and the annual Valencia Book Fair is held in the Viveros Gardens.
This year Easter in Spain (Pascua) is on 17 April 2017. This is a lovely time to visit Valencia as there are many open-air bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Spain is famous for it’s amazing festivals and the festival of Las Fallas is one of the best.
Hotels and apartments get booked very quickly for this amazing event, so book early. The main days are from 15 – 19 March.

There are still many wonderful events to enjoy in Valencia such as the Christmas circuses, ice skating and Kings Day which is celebrated all over Spain.
San Vicente Martir fiesta is held on 22 January and there are many more events throughout the month.

From 20 December the open air Ice Skating rink and traditional nativity scene are in Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The annual MotoGP is held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste (just a short drive from the center of town).
COLÓN Market celebrates its centenary and Film Symphony Orchestra returns to Valencia as part of its FSO TOUR 2016.
Valencia is a city by the sea with a magical old quarter and and the stunning City of Arts and Sciences. You can stay in the center of town and have all the culture, restaurants and and shops at your fingertips. The lovely wide sandy beach is just a 15 minute ride away with the tram or 20 minutes by bus.
