Plaça/Plaza Redonda (Off Plaça/Plaza Santa Catalina)
If you're around this area on a Sunday morning don't forget to visit Plaza Redonda. It's a very unusual market locally know as 'el clot' ('the hole').
There's a circular fountain in the middle of Plaza Redonda and the market is full of shops selling ceramics, linen, haberdashery and so on.
There are a few tapas bars inside and many places where you can eat in the surrounding area.

MERCARDO CENTRALPlaça del Mercat/Plaza del Mercado Mercado Central is one of the most beautiful buildings in Valencia. It's a masterpiece of modernist architecture and definitely a must to visit. It's incredibly large (possibly the largest in Europe) and very grand. It's covered with ceramics and glass and topped with a parrot! There are over a 1,000 stalls stacked with anything from whole legs of ham to the freshes seafoods, fish, poultry, cheeses, vegetables and fruit you have ever seen!
CABANYAL MARKET Every Thursday a very good street market selling clothes, bric a brac and many other things such as fruit and veg. It's held by the beach in Cabanyal and nearby is another excellent mini version of Mercado Central. There's a huge supermarket called Mercadona which has a wide selection of delicious food.
