VII Festival Del Mediterrani
31 May – 15 June 2014
The Palau de les Arts (also known as Valencia Opera House) is part of the City of Arts and Sciences.
The 7th Mediterranean Festival begins with Verdi’s La forza del destino.
This is also performed on 5, 10 and 14 June.
Turandot by Giacomo Puccini is on 11, 13 and 15 June.
From Saturday 7 June – Sunday 8 June the queen of Copla, Isabel Pantoja will be appearing at the festival.

Every Thursday in June the Valencia Municipal Band will be entertaining audiences with pasodobles, zarzuelas, operas and other musical genres.

Jazz Festival at Palau de la Música
From 28 June to 15 July 2014
The 18th Seagram’s Gin Jazz Festival will be kicking off with a free concert by the Chuchito Valdés Quartet in the gardens of the Palau.
As well as the interesting line-up of artists performing at the festival, the free Jam Sessions are also back again this year in the Palau’s Hall de los Naranjos.
Filmoteca de Verano / Turia Gardens
3 June – 13 July 2014
IVAC-La Filmoteca opens its doors to Valencia festival of films during the summer months in the Turia Gardens (Jardines del Turia) close to the lovely Palau de la Musica.
This celebration of films at reasonable prices makes this one of the best events of the year.
Tickets are around 3.5 € for one session and 10 sessions cost €22.
You can enjoy some excellent films (including some in English) along with popcorn, coke and beer.
29th Valencia International Film Festival Cinema Jove
20 to 27 June 2014
The Cinema Jove has become an integral part of the festival and is a meeting point for young filmmakers from all over the world. The festival focuses on the most interesting and creative films and has launched the careers of many talented young people.

Summer Shopening Night

This annual event in the center of Valencia is a shoppers dream and a very entertaining night for shopping. One of the most eagerly-awaited events of the summer the 200 shops taking part stay open until midnight and will offer both discounts and refreshments. The location of the event is between Calle de la Paz and Gran Vía Marqués del Turia.

To make a booking at the restaurants of Valencia Cuina Oberta just follow these 3 simple steps:

- Choose the menu that interests you: Lunch or dinner
- Make a reservation online by clicking on the button Book

Conditions : Restaurant Week set menus are paid for when you book your table, and once you’re in the restaurant you only need to pay for any other items that are not included in the set menu (drinks, coffee, etc.).
- You may change or cancel your booking at any time, free of charge, as long as you give at least 24 hours notice.
- When you arrive at the restaurant, don’t forget to show the booking confirmation that will be sent to you by email.
Payment method
You can pay for your reservation using a credit card, debit card or PayPal.
Remember that if you choose to use PayPal, you will be charged an additional handling cost of €0.35 per transaction, whether it be a reservation or cancellation.

Festival of Sant Joan : 23 June
The festival of Sant Joan is a pagan festival celebrated all over Spain and coincides with the summer solstice.
To celebrate the longest night of the year huge bonfires are lit on the beach and everyone has fun with much singing and dancing and jumping over the bonfires.
