Things to do in Valencia

28th International Film Festival in Valencia

The annual Cinema Jove has launched the careers of many talented young people.
The event consists of 10 full-length feature films and 55 short films from a variety of countries including Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Norway, Serbia, Iraq, Greece and many more countries.
Festival of Sant Joan
The festival of Sant Joan (San Juan in Castillian), is a pagan festival which is celebrated all over Spain. The festival coincides with the summer solstice and to celebrate the longest night of the year huge bonfires are lit on the beach.
It is customary to have lots of food and drinks and there’s much singing and dancing and jumping over bonfires on the lovely beach.
Whilst you’re her why not jump on a train and visit Barcelona or take a ferry to the Balearic Islands.
You´ve also got the high speed AVE train connecting Valencia to Madrid.
The flower filled festivals reach their peek with the Feria de Julio (July Fair). What better way to celebrate the hot summer days and warm summer nights than with classical and rock concerts, theatrical events and sports and firework displays on the beach.
