Oliva on the Costa Azahar

Oliva is a beautiful coastal town in the region of Valencia situated near the most southerley point of the Costa Azahar.

The town is surrounded by the sparkling Mediterranean sea, the Safor Mountains and the breath-taking countryside of the Villalonga National Park Valencia.

For sports enthusiasts there's a great selection of activities such as mountain climbing, rambling, horseriding, the Nautical Club and the famous golf complex which has an 18 hole course designed by Steve Ballesteros.

You'll also be able to enjoy the fantastic Valencian gastronomy and the many local markets with their deliciously fresh local produce.

The wide white sandy beaches have excellent facilities and are ideal for both children and sports enthusiasts and there are healthy fresh drinking water springs in nearby Villalonga and other local villages.

The towns and surrounding little villages are ideally located for the people of Madrid who exchange the heat of the city for the sparkling blue sea and mountains for their summer vacations.

Although the area still retains its peace and tranquility and is still very Spanish, many tourists have made it their home. Many more are becoming aware of the wonderful way of life and relocating here.

The are still many in-expensive houses in the villages and by the beach and some have a few acres of orange groves. Buying a property is perfect if you want to become self-sufficient and enjoy the fruits of the land.

The city of Gandia is just a few miles away and Valencia can be reached from the train station in the center of Gandia in about 50 minutes. For information on buses and tickets to Valencia check out the followin website ALSA Bus Website
