Hostel in Valencia

Valencia Hostels in the Old Town and next to Valencia Beaches


If you're looking for a hostel in Valencia you won't be disappointed as there are so many to choose from. A point worth remembering is that a hostal in Spain is a hotel/ guest house and a hostel is a youth hostel.


Some hostels in Valencia are more like guest houses and some have private rooms for 2 or 3 people. Many even have their own bathrooms but most share all the facilities including kitchens, living rooms and so on.


Hostel in Valencia

Many of the hostels in Valencia are situated in the center of the city and offer all the facilities you'll need to have fun and enjoy yourself. If you're coming for La Tomatina or Las Fallas it's always best to book well in advance as rooms get full-up very quickly. Barrio del Carmen is a great place to stay as it's a very hip and trendy area in the north east of the Old Quarter of Valencia.


Homebackpackers

The Homebackpackers is the only youth hostel in Valencia with a huge terrace for guests to enjoy the amazing views of the city. The hostel lies in the heart of the ancient centre (Barrio del Carmen), situated roughly 15 minutes' walk from Xátiva train station or the bus station.

The hostel is surrounded by the most historical and important monuments and a lot of restaurants, bars and pubs.



Purple Nest Youth Hostel

Purple Nest youth hostelThe Purple Nest youth hostel is located in the centre of the city, between the commercial district and the old town centre (Barrio del Carmen), just 50 metres from a range of bars and restaurants and 150 metres from shopping venues, ideal for young people who enjoy spending time with others in a lively environment.

Red Nest Youth Hostel

Red Nest youth hostel The Red Nest youth hostel has a young and friendly atmosphere and is located on Calle la Paz Square, just a five minute walk from the centre and surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and the commercial centre, as well as important historical monuments. The nearest public transport links are within 50 metres of the hotel and the train station is 1 km away, with the beach approximately 2 km from the hostel.



Venecia Hotel

Tip! - The 2 star Vencia hotel is in a great location overlooking Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The rooms are modern and comfortable and there's a great buffet breakfast which you can enjoy in the breakfast room overlooking the square.

Built in 2007 the 3 star Rooms Deluxe is the first deluxe Hostel in Valencia, situated just 100 meters from the City of Arts & Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias). Guests can expect a pleasant stay with very comfortable modern rooms to dwell in. Each room has a different theme and there are 28 ensuite rooms all with air conditioning.


There are many Valencia apartments which if shared are not too expensive.


The number 32 bus will take you to the beach or you can take the tram from Pont de Fusta - Bridge of Fusta - opposite Serranos Towers in Barrio del Carmen directly to the beach.


Tram Pont de FustaThe journey only takes about ten minutes whereas if you take the bus it normally takes about 20 minutes from Plaza del Ayuntamiento.


There are many great places to eat and Mercado Central in the Old Quarter is a great place to stock up with fresh and very inexpensive food. You'll also find many affordable supermarkets in the centre of Valencia such as the popular Consum and Mercadona.


The department store El Corte Inglés also have supermarkets located in the basement of their stores and there are many great tapas bars and cafés in town.
