Flamenco in Valencia

Spanish Flamenco

Flamenco in Valencia is not as popular as in Andalucia but nevertheless it's still loved by all in Valencia.

The Festival Flamenco de Valencia is held at Palau de la Música in Valencia.

Top flamenco stars such as Estrella Morente and Manolete are amongst the most famous Spanish flamenco singers and dancers who have appeared at this wonderful event.

The very popular Radio City at 19 Santa Teresa has two bars, pool table, darts and live music with flamenco on Tuesday and disco at weekends.

If you're in Barrio del Carmen on a Sunday evening there's another show at La Claca at 3 San Vicente (8.30pm - 10pm).

From el Carmen it's just a short journey over the Turìa riverbed to the University area.

This is where many of the best pubs, bars and clubs in Valencia are located around Avenida Blasco Ibàñez and Avenida del Aragón.

Café del Duende at 62 Calle Turìa, is a very popular bar with live Flamenco music every Thursday.

It's a very small place and Thursday is the day to come (sometimes Friday but check the website to be sure - 11.30pm - 1am) - Café del Duende
