By train it takes just 45 minutes to get here and by car one hour.
This lovely town is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and the hills of the Desierto de las Palmas natural park.
The backdrop to this spectacular setting are the mountains of the Sierra d’En Garcerán.
The name is of Arab origin and translates to 'Children of Casim'.

Nearby are the towns of Oropesa with fast trains to Barcelona and Valencia. The lovely town of Peñiscola with its dramatic Luna Castle and Alcossebre and Castellón de la Plana capital of the area.
The attraction of towns like this is that in contrast to the Costas of the south of Spain, the Costa del Azahar is still very Spanish.
